There are unfortunately technical reasons (related to the integration with other systems) preventing this option to be used in TIBCO Cloud Spotfire currently.
So could the TIBCO Cloud Spotfire Server be configured to be a bit more friendly this way? At present it's a maze of "This page has expired", Enter username (email address and not changeable) and finally, enter password.
If authentication takes place in a web browser it's either because the server is configured to use a web-based authentication method (such as OpenID Connect) or because it's using a custom login page (which may contain important information that otherwise won't be conveyed to the end-user).
When using browser-based authentication the Spotfire Analyst (as well as the mobile apps) uses an OAuth2-based flow. Since version 10.2 the Spotfire Analyst supports the use of refresh tokens which gives the ability to use the "save my login information" option even for browser-based authentication (as long as the Spotfire Server is configured to allow it). The use of refresh tokens is a more secure option since they are randomly generated, only valid once, and will eventually expire (although after a quite long time).
This is a huge pain point for my organization. I have had multiple people tell me that they absolutely hate this change and they don't login to Spotfire as often because of this. Some daily users are going weeks without logging in.
