*Goal:*
The report developer wants IronPython version to be upgraded to latest version available so that he can make use of the latest available functions by python. (e.g. 2.7.4)
Implemented in | 7.11 |
TIBCO Spotfire 7.11 now supports the latest version of IronPython (2.7.7),
It appears that the version within Spotfire (2.5) is ancient! The current release is 2.7.7 so surely there are lots of reasons to support latest version by now. It may be that Spotfire needs to support multiple versions so as to not risk breaking old scripts, but that shouldn't be too hard to achieve.
Any progress on this idea? At least users should be provided with flexibility to upgrade IronPython version in Spotfire...
This is becoming a significant bottleneck for development.
This would also open up the possibility of calling more modern Python libraries, including SciPi and NumPy, which would open up those advanced analytic options.
