When I was initially setting up SF 7.5 (in an AWS-hosted environment) it was difficult to identify which machine was which (as the references were originally IP Addresses that were assigned by AWS). I'd like the ability to add custom name tags to these hosts (e.g., SF-Prod-Node-1, SF-Prod-Server-1, etc.) Some organizations have defined naming conventions for their hostnames and it's not easy to identify the function of the server. Having the ability to rename (or tag these within the console) will make administration easier for those that have more than 10 servers in their environment.
Hi,
Sorry, this not the way we want to go. From some time, we want to manage our servers as cattle, not as pets.

We can, however, assign custom names to pools. And we are discussing about extending on that concept.
Thanks
This can be done in 7.9 I think.
