Today, when attempting to export a text area, there is no way to ensure the full text is exported to PDF like there is for "Show Trellis Panels" or "Show Rows" not visible on screen for other visuals. This would be a handy enhancement to ensure that when we create our reports, we see the full picture and nothing is left out.
MIA Solutions has the tool called "MIA Template Exporter" that allows extended exporting (ppt, html, pdf) - via creating own document templates enriched with charts/tables/properties/etc. from Spotfire + a lot of functionality in addition for automation services - like "report bursting".
we support even exporting table/crosstable or textarea as a native objects what allows to export full textarea into the documents.
In next release of the exporting plugin we will support increasing/decreasing fontsizes in the charts.
