Would like to see a visualization to create a Gantt chart.

Gantt chart is now available as a visualization mod example for Spotfire from the TIBCO Community Exchange: https://community.tibco.com/modules/gantt-chart-mod-tibco-spotfirer
To use the Gantt Chart Mod, Spotfire 11.4 or later is required.
I like the mod! Good job.
A couple suggestions:
Options for grid lines
Toggle colored weekend days
Label configuration (date format, toggle start/end labels, on/off, show %progress)
If it could support sub day resolution (hours, mins, etc). I often use gantts to visualize detailed datetime sequences.

A real must for any data with date ranges, something like the attached...
Native Gantt chart would be amazing. The link posted below with the scatterchart is an "ok" workaround in some circumstances, but definitely isn't ideal
something like THIS http://jalapic.github.io/justice is what users want, especially if it could make use of time hierarchies on the x axis. You could use document properties to control the dimension, change the color etc. This would be a very powerful addition to Spotfire
