Distribution Fitting- Poisson: Plot the first value of the Poisson fit over the entire area for X = 0 (i.e. from -0.5 to +0.5, not only from 0.0 to 0.5.

Please see the attached file of a typical output, which shows that the expected value is only plotted over one half of the interval centered at zero.

    Hello Angela,

Thank you for the note below. And thanks for having another look at my suggestion.

When I received this I went to the Ideas Portal and made a somewhat tongue in cheek comment about the other reply! At the same time I noticed that I must have misspelt my name when I originally recorded it. When I tried to modify it (from Noico to Nico) the message said: Please update your profile through your SSO provider.

I have no idea what SSO is, so please be so kind and modify my name on my behalf.

    With good wishes,

    Nico

I know that! Everybody knows that! But the Poisson also can't take non-integer values. So, why then not do the plot with spikes at the non-negative integers? It would not confuse anyone by also plotting a bar of the same width as the others at zero.

The poisson Distribution cannot take negative values, not in Statistica, nor in any other program. The poisson is only defined to support natural numbers, thus decimals and negatives are not allowed.
