When working with studio and git/svn it would be nice if one doesn't have to provide credentials and other user data for each separate repo every time it is accessed/committed to after starting studio. For this the Options tab should be expanded with some vcs options:
Ask for git/svn crendentials every time (status quo)
Explicitly provide git/svn credentials here (and save them locally)
Read/Use credentials from local git/svn installation
Additionally the dialogues of the first option should get some checkboxes to either convert the entered data into option 2 or switch to option 3.
Expected benefits: Working with git/svn is less cumbersome.
Regarding the status change: I don't quite understand it, because this idea has many Upvotes. Looks like this would benefit many people. So is this because you won't add new features to the classic Studio in general or is there some other reason?
