tab/report level security

hi folks,

was wondering if there is a way to create tab (report) level security in spotfire, such that say roles are created and roles are being granted view access to specific reports in a template or across a number of templates, and perhaps, expose these to the user, in webplayer, in some friendly Menu/submenu fashion, similar to menu driven Windows navigation.

thanks,

Cosmin

Hi Saurabh, did you take a look at the feature to show/hide pages for consumer users as Thomas suggested? Using an iron python script you can set the show/hide status for each page according to your specific requirements.

Yes it would be great idea to submit security at tab level instead of report or personalized info links,in this way we could have just one report for multiple hierarchy of audience with multiple tabs to enable the authorization based on groups or Id's..

Please review the enhancements in Spotfire 10.7:

That is a good idea ... this way only people belonging to some user groups can access/see some tabs.

in addition, adding password protected tabs/pages would also be valuable.
