Ability to not show % character/symbol in bar charts even when displaying percentages

I have bar charts that are narrow (due to many bars in 1 chart) and the percentage value is not displayed beause the number + %-sign dont fit into the small bars. To gain screen real estate space I'd like the ability to omit the % symbol/character. So if a bar represents eg 12%, I'd like to just display "12" and not the % sign.
