SQLite is the most popular database and an awesome (free) technology for quick prototyping. It is more stable than csv files, more scaleable than XLSX sheets and more flexible than many Big Data solutions. Allowing proper interfacing with SQLite databases will make dashboard prototyping easier, as the analyst can create temporary table and start building apps, while Data Engineers build proper home for the data. Switching Information Linkt to point to another data source should be easy and seamless for the Spotfile project.
