Data Source Configurable timeout setting

In the Information Designer/Data Source, we would like to have a way to configure a data source timeout.  We want more granularity to terminate connections if queries takes too long to execute from the application/client level.

(Note that this is different than a database timeout - 10 seconds - where the database is not responding)

Currently the only way to have such a timeout is a global server timeout (which affects all sources), or have the database manually execute a time out.

It would also be great to have the option to manually abort a running query as supported by e.g. Impala drivers.

I was sure I had an SR for this and that an idea existed but I don't seem to be able to find it. I raised it again. It covers your request and much more.
