Distance measuring tool for other coordinate systems

It is useful tool in oil and gas to identify the spacing between horizontal wells. Sometimes, we need to use other coordinate systems other than the default and it would be useful if the measuring tool (circle radius) would display the distance beyond the default coordinate system

    This feature is valuable for measuring distances between objects in X & Y just as valuable as measuring lat/long.
