This is useful on a few fronts.
- If I can rename a document property, I don't have to spend unnecessary time creating another one with all the same settings, especially if I'm trying to rename a multi-list property
- If I can rename a document property, I don't have to spend such a large amount of time going through every expression in the dashboard that uses it and renaming the property. In one of my dashboards, I call a particular document property in about 35 different custom expressions... some of them reference the property 2 times, some of them reference the property 50 times
Dashboard authors who have to maintain dashboards would benefit from this.
How this should work is if I wanted rename a property, I should be able to do it in the same place that I create and delete one. When I finish renaming a document property and commit the changes, the change should propagate through all the custom expressions in the dashboard that use it.
Function is not stopping me from doing critical functions, but is a big time saver in dashboard maintenance and in rapid development situations.
