Change Data Type Transformation holds change for when the column is already that type

I am loading data tables from excel, where sometimes the columns are real, and sometimes they are integers.  I change the data type so that they are always real with a transformation.  If the Q01 column is real when I add the transformation, it does not register as a "hard coded real".... Later, in another data set loaded by the same dashboard, if the Q01 column is an integer, it does not get forced to be a real because system did not register it as a change of data type prior.

The idea is that system isn't recording changed data types, but rather hardcoded data types, whether there is a change or not.  In the attached screenshot, you can see the columns that are blank for the New Data will not register this change later when that column does have an integer value.
