Problem was reported to Technical Support (Perkin Elmer): Case# [00452391. They suggested to write about this enhancement via this portal.
Standard button functionality requires double click by user when using search function. Search button is standard Tibco functionality (no extra code from our side added). First click is not effective, after second click by user button triggers proper action.
I am not able to reproduce this issue using the information you provided. If this is a bug it should be worked through with Perkin Elmer support.
