Adding tags to web client

I want to be able to add tags to the web client, in order to help with action planning and root causing

    Starting with Spotfire 12.2, web authors with a Spotfire Analyst license can attach and manage tags.

    This is an important capability for capturing decisions. The current workaround is using IronPyhon scripts to add/remove marked records to a particular Tag. The Tag column is also part of the csv table export for the consumer version, so you can at least get the decisions out of the Web Player. However, unless I recreate each functionality of the Tag tool as scripts (in every template), I am missing simple options like creating new collections/values and double-click on a Tag item in the Tags tree to mark the records.
