Adding items to the Text Area is currently a tedious -- one at a time -- process. If I want to add three filters to a text area, I do the following...
1. Toggle into edit mode
2. Click the add filter button
3. Minimize EVERY SINGLE TABLE UNTIL I FIND THE ONE I NEED. If this is a large project, this could be 20 - 30 mouse clicks.
4. Select the filter and click ok.
5. Scroll down thru the list of columns until I see what I need. Again, this takes a long time, especially if a table has hundreds of columns. Heck, anything over 30 is annoying.
6. Close....and then do it all again...over and over and over.
This process is incredibly inefficient.
Adding the ability search through the available filters would make it a lot easier as well, similar to how we can search in the filters pane.
Yeeeesssss! And cthe creation of Spotfire Controls from IronPython would also be an amazing time saver.
