When inserting transformations, there are options to add columns, remove columns, etc. but no ability to remove rows. It would be useful to be able to use transformations to remove rows based on expressions or criteria. Without this, some of our users have resorted to using custom functions in transformations to execute this. It feels like an action as simple as removing rows should be easier.

This is possible in Spotfire 10.1 and later by using the row filter transformation.
