we have a nr of data tables based on a SQL query. It would be great if there was a wizard to convert such an SQL-based data table to an infolink and datasource.

We develop often 1:1 on the database, and once the analysis is good enough we go throught he pain of having to create infolinks.

    Here is a workaround:

    1) Create database views with the queries you want

    2) Select them all in Information Designer Data Sources tab (you can multi-select holding Shift or Ctrl) and select "Create Default Information Model...". 

    All your information links and elements will be automatically created.
