Data sourced from data connections use the local drivers associated to the web player node. When the DB is close to the Web player all is good and performance is similar to data served by the TSS Information links.
In the case that a DB is in a remote geography then the user experience is based on the connection speed between the DB and the Web player node.
If we locate a web player in the geography of the DB, then we can improve the performance but then need to individually set a rule for each analysis to route t the correct node
We can't associate users or groups to this remote instance in bulk as other analysis need to be sourced from data close to the TSS.
Desire is to have a new rule type that would allow the rule to be tied to a resource defined by a data source.
e.g.
Rule Type = Data connection:
Rule name = Japan
Data connection source DB = Japan
then resource = Japan (Resource pool tied to a server established in Japan)
Without this, we either need to either:
replicate all data connection DB's to the same location as the web player node or
manually configure 10's-100's analysis to be associated to the appropriate node resource
