Word cloud visualization

A word cloud (aka. tag cloud) is a very popular visualization to represent text data. Key words are displayed and differ in size and/or color (and sometimes even direction) based on the variables chosen.

The attached screenshot displays the same information in a bar chart and a word cloud. What would you prefer?

  Word cloud is available as a visualization for Spotfire from the TIBCO Community Exchange: https://community.tibco.com/modules/word-cloud-mod-tibco-spotfirer

  To use the Word cloud, Spotfire 11.3 or later is required.

  - workaround described on the community: https://community.tibco.com/questions/word-cloud-using-python-or-r

  - Use the JS Viz extension that has a sample implementation

  - our partner Ruths.ai sells a word cloud extension: https://support.ruths.ai/support/solutions/articles/6000193517-word-cloud-configuring-the-visualization
