I have a DXP with several on demand queries. These queries are attached to marking and property controls. When the queries are executed, they take a while to run. I am having problems with users not realizing that queries are running, so they try to continue in the DXP and stuff locks up. I also have a text area with several property controls that drive calculations. When a user changes a property control, the project freezes up for a bit while the calculations are updating. Again, it is not apparent to the user that this is happening. It would be helpful if the application communicated to the user that a background process was running and that they should pause in the analysis. I've seen scripting that attempts this but haven't found anything successful. It would be nice if this were an out of the box feature.
