Today, only two connectors support web based authoring in the Spotfire Business Author web client; Salesforce and Google Analytics. This is why only these two connctors are listed in the Connect to menu.
However, you are able to load and refresh data form any connector data source in analysis files loaded in the Spotfire Business Author and Conusmer web clients. For this to work, most connectors require that you install the corresponding (ODBC) driver. Please see this page for more details.
In previous versions of Spotfire, all connectors were available through Web Player. After some upgrade to a 10.x version, this was not the case. Users continue to ask about the connectors and even continue to send TIBCO documentation about how I should it install it for them. Why was this functionality removed or changed? It's a crummy thing to do to your customers.
