Within an SMTP server it is possible to specify a from email and a reply to email separate. This enables automated reports to be sent out using some non existing email address. auotReport@somewhere.com in the from field but when they reply they would get directed to the actual email address specified in the reply to field. The benefit is that the automated reports can be easily filtered from any other emails that user might have sent.
