Sort Barchart by one of the color category values Merged

Currently the barchart  'sort by value' performs the sort on the entire data for a given category in the x-axis.  I rarely use only one segment for a given category in a barchart.  A very common example is to show a side-by-side barchart where the category is colored by this year vs last year ('color by' is used so it doesn't clutter the x-axis label).  One then wants to see the data sorted by the values for a given color/year. 

I know of 2 work-arounds where you have to transform the data and add a hierarchy to the x-axis (and clutter up the x-axis label) or use an ironpython script but very few people would be able to achieve either and I believe this should be a straight forward action.
