I expect this feature requirement was raised, but not found. So, I raise again.
User creates a templates initially with certain data sets but want to use it for other data sets too.
When using data sets with other column names than the initial ones the templates prompt for user input to match manually.
But user often do not want / need to match any and just click OK.
The problem is that this prompt interrupts the automated flow.
Users often forget this prompt and just start long running template before attending a meeting.
Coming back from the meeting, users expect to get results from the template but get annoyed seeing the matching column window at an early phase of the longer template flow.
Could that prompt be preconfigured to set to "always ok" in template?
Implemented in | 12.1 |
Starting with Spotfire 12.1, prompts for column matches when replacing data can be switched off to avoid interruption of automated workflow when replacing multiple data tables in sequence.

Hi Niklas,
Would you please help to push to implement this request in the near future? Our customers would need to have the Column Matching pop-up prompt to be optional.
Best Regards,
Ghannam
yes, users have required it for long time.
