Microsoft Outlook recognises links when they are pasted into emails, but does not include any punctuation at the end of the link. This causes problems when users paste Spotfire links into their email - configuration blocks should be terminated with semi-colons, but Outlook doesn't include the semi-colon in the link. Users receive these links in emails, but they don't work - the resulting error message is also rather confusing in that it states that there's a 'communication error'.
Ideally, Spotfire would accept configuration blocks without the semi-colon terminator - it's rather unlikely that we'll get Microsoft to change Outlook...
