Select all values filtered by the search field in a list box filter

I often use the search field in list box filters to narrow down the values that can be selected. What I have to do often is to select all the values which are left in the filter. At the moment, this has to be done by selecting all values in the filter. It would be useful to have an option to select all those values, similar to the "(All) xxx values" selection.

This can be achieved by switching to a text filter in principle, but I think it's cumbersome having to switch to a text filter just for this (apart from the fact that the filter settings are lost in switching).
