This would be a great help for us and a needed enhancement that should not be hard to add in. Give us a check box in the property pages to use the column value (category) in the bar / segment in place of or in addition to the count/percentage.
In the attached image, this scenario has a lot of values for a categoric column mapped to color. The user is asking to see the label "Brain" in the bar segment.
Exactly Neil, this is a must-have.
Already provided by other BI tools, Spotfire users would benefit a lot from it.
Adding category labels to stacked bar segments would be extremely helpful!
The attached screenshot shows a stacked bar chart with the duration of a process. Each step in the process is a segment of the stacked bar, defined by the Color axis. The label shows the duration of each segment, but not the name of each segment. Of course the name of each segment is available in the tooltip, but that requires extra effort for the user.
I believe you mean the category names? Like a column of categories: banana, apple, pear, lemon... you want the bars to say those words in the label, right?
