Spotfire doesn't allow user to set import method when extending a SQL server data connection after 1 data table already included in connection. I have a dashboard with MS SQL server data connection embedded in analysis. As of now there is only 1 table added, if I go to data connection properties then select “settings” of the connection to add one more data table and click on ok for twice then I come to screenshot 3 situation where I miss the option to keep the data external/import but as you know adding a data table from data fly out section we get an option to select the settings for the 2nd data table also. Now if I want to change the 2nd table settings then I have to go data canvas (screenshot 4) and then replace the table with same table from data connection then I get setting option to select keep data as external/import/on demand (screenshot 7) . It should not be the case when you have an option to add data table from data connection properties then it should be same as when you go to(data fly out section) Data > Add and then add a data table in an existing data connection.
