API to read Min and Max values for Y-axis when values are not set

Referring to https://community.tibco.com/wiki/how-read-and-set-values-axis-range-multiple-scales-mode-tibco-spotfire-using-ironpython it is not possible to fetch the values if the Min and Max fields are empty / displaying the grayed out text 'Automatic'.

It would be very useful to have a reference visualization and adapt the scale of other visualizations to have the same "visual effect". We have several use cases where the scale would need to be changed, and when the report needs 45 minutes to load, this is really not efficient.

Thank you for your consideration.

    Hello Niklas.

Thank you for following up this idea. :)

I was thinking about IronPython scripting, I forgot to mention in the idea. Sorry about that

I agree with you this would also be as useful in the Web Player.

Hi Xavier, thanks for contributing to the Idea portal. I understand your suggestion that you would like an API to read the automatically assigned min and max ranges from visualizations? you wrote Spotfire Analyst in the title, but would this not be just as useful in the web client?
