Filter on empty values in text filter

I would like to have the possibility to filter on empty values in a text filter. According to support, this is not possible. Preferably, this should not be a checkbox: One benefit of text filters is that they are small. It should be some kind of search syntax like value:empty or so

    This looks as a bug in Spotfire. NOT NULL does work. why does NULL not show the NULL vallues ?
