Visualize large amounts of hierarchically structured data. Tangent circles represent brother nodes at the same level; to visualize the hierarchy, all children of a node are packed into that node (and thus determine its size).

This would be helpful if the Circles can have upper and lower limits, or variable limits. A visualization of this nature as an interactive work, could help users see limits and tradeoffs with input that is weighted or variable in some factor. Blended with voronoi polygons and you have the famous visualization from the NY Times of the 2020 Electoral votes: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/elections/electoral-college-battleground-states.html
