It's nice to have at some point in the future. I got around by creating a column in a very small table with that document property and formatting that column. Not elegant at all, but it got the job done. I could have written a very very long expression to convert to string and parse it, or a data function, or maybe a regex expression.

If you mean displaying a document property in a text area as a property control label you are right. Doing this you will be able change the format of the document property displayed on this specific property control label.
