Thank you! I use the Spotfire Cloud Version. I need support in creating a Sunburst plot in this cloud version. I read all the info and I am not sure to how do it. Support is crucial for me as many of my colleagues think about using Spotfire as new users in my organization with the sunburst plot.
Implemented in | 11.4 |
Sunburst chart is now available as a visualization mod for Spotfire from the TIBCO Community Exchange: https://community.tibco.com/modules/sunburst-chart-mod-tibco-spotfirer
To use the Sunburst Chart Mod, Spotfire 11.4 or later is required.
Thank you Holger
As I use Spotfire Cloud I use the Tibco Server and not an in house one.
So I guess I can't install anything myself but it has to be done by Tibco.
What I can do is use public MODS in the Spotfire library.
So it would be nice to access you sunburst plot from there.
Is this your plan? And are you within Tibco?
Cheers, Frank
The Github repository for my Sunburst mod is here https://github.com/hski-github/spotfire-sunburst-chart. Currently the mod is not ready for usage, I have just created some experimental code to explore the idea.
My objective would be to copy how Excel is creating Sunburst https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-a-sunburst-chart-in-office-4a127977-62cd-4c11-b8c7-65b84a358e0c including how empty values and labels are handled.
The interactivity of other sunburst visualizations like D3 https://github.com/vasturiano/sunburst-chart is confusing I would say and could be better provided in a Spotfire dashboard using filtering.
Hello Holger
That's great! Let's do it!
Happy to provide you with the input you may need to get the sunburst mod into the Spotfire Cloud version.
Cheers, Frank
Hello Frank, I started working on Sunburst visualization und Spotfire mods framework. Maybe we can work together. There are some topics to discuss on the requirements and usability.
