Custom data functions should have same UI components (menu items) as custom data sources

The recommendation from TIBCO support is to switch using custom data sources to custom data functions. Support provided the following link to show how this can be done: https://community.tibco.com/wiki/wrap-data-source-inside-data-function

The main problem we foresee is that custom data functions do not show up in the standard UI menus like custom data sources. For example, our custom data source shows up in 'Add Data Table', 'Replace Data', and 'Add Columns' menus. But if we switch to custom data functions, then the dtaa function will not up in these areas which will be disappointment for our end users!

The request here is to have spotfire natively add custom data functions to these areas so that a custom data function and a custom data source show the same UI components and provide same UI experience to end users.
