Principle Component Analysis - bring it back to Spotfire

For big data exploration in healthcare, I am using spotfire now since 2001. One of my favorite pieces of software. After uprgrading from 7.11 to Spotfire Desktop 11, Principle Component Analysis (PCA) went missing. Its a key feature in summarizing big datasets and reducing complexitiy.

Since it was available in 7.11 - is it possible to re-integrate it?

kind regards,

Prof. R. Haelser

Implemented in 11.2

    Dear Arnaud,

thank you for your response. I will look into this as soon as I find the time.

Actually, the PCA was part of Spotfire for Functional Genomics, also labelled "OMICS office" or "integromics" - it had many names over the years.

    best wishes,

    Rob

Hello Robert and thank you for this idea.
I don't believe PCA was never part of the default Spotfire feature sets. Maybe you were using an extension to perform this type of analysis.
PCA is available to Spotfire in the form of a data function that you can use. It is available here: https://community.tibco.com/modules/pca-python-data-function-tibco-spotfirer
