It reduces the learning curve for the newbies to the scripting. Due to significant differences in Python 2.x and 3.x versions, it becomes confusing to the new developers to learn syntax for two different versions.
If Pandas and Numpy stays availabel as default available modules, it will help to perform some scripting activities more effectively.

In Spotfire 14.1, scripting in Spotfire analyses has been updated to support IronPython 3.4.1, the latest version of IronPython based on Python 3.4. The support for older versions (2.0 and 2.7) are kept for backwards compatibility, but can be disabled by the administrator.
