With more and more customer starting to deploy TSS in Linux or containers, spotfireconfigtool.jar will become popular because it provides a GUI.
To use this tool it is required to install JDK 17 on the local computer first, please bundle jdk17 inside it so that no addadditionalitonal installation is required.
Hi Miguel,
Thanks for the quick response.
spotfireconfigtool.jar is used to manage Spotfire Server's configuration, like authentication method, OpenID Connect authentication, Data Source Templates, Public Address, etc, all these can not be done via current management console (if this is what you mean by "web UI").
So spotfireconfigtool.jar is used by a spotfire admin sometimes and the GUI version(uiconfig.bat/uiconfig.sh) of it is easier to use compared to the command line one (config.bat/config.sh).
Hi Wei,
We think customers would benefit using web UI for all the server configuration, so you would not need to install the spotfireconfigtool UI for using an UI.
Do you think you would prefer using a web UI?
What are the operations that you require most from spotfireconfigtool UI?
Thanks
