Action logs entries for arg2 column are truncated at 400 characters

When using PostgreSQL and Oracle DB for spotfire action logs we have observed that the log entries for arg2 column are truncated at 400 characters. We tried changing the arg2 field to text datatype in the database via database creation scripts provided with spotfire installation scripts on a fresh installation. Even though the arg2 column is now text datatype, we are still seeing the entries are truncated at 400 characters. We have some custom apps logging information longer than 400 characters. Is there a way to fix the issue? If it is a product limitation, it would be great to add this enhancement in future releases.
