I replaced a carefully defined visualization (trellised scatterplot) that a colleague created with a new table consisting of the same table as current but with fewer rows (all columns exactly the same - I took the original table and filtered out rows), and was stunned to see that none of the configuration properties were preserved - I have to rebuild the visualization completely.
Spotfire should check on this and not wipe everything out. Period.
Hello JP,
Thank you for bringing this up. I ran some tests on my side, using a similar setup as you described with trellised scatter, switch data from a table to another, replacing the data table. In my case, the visualization preserved its configuration without any issues. Could you clarify a few things:
Are all configuration properties lost, or some specific properties?
Do you notice this behavior in only certain visualization types or does it happen across the board?
How did you replace the data?
Thank you,
Arnaud
