replace identical data table must preserve all properties.

I replaced a carefully defined visualization (trellised scatterplot) that a colleague created with a new table consisting of the same table as current but with fewer rows (all columns exactly the same - I took the original table and filtered out rows), and was stunned to see that none of the configuration properties were preserved - I have to rebuild the visualization completely.

Spotfire should check on this and not wipe everything out. Period.

      Hello JP,
Thank you for bringing this up. I ran some tests on my side, using a similar setup as you described with trellised scatter, switch data from a table to another, replacing the data table. In my case, the visualization preserved its configuration without any issues. Could you clarify a few things:

      • Are all configuration properties lost, or some specific properties?

      • Do you notice this behavior in only certain visualization types or does it happen across the board?

      • How did you replace the data?

      Thank you,
      Arnaud
