    To make it easier to use a visualization mod, a user guide (a .md file or similar) can be inluded by the mod developer in the .mod file and be viewable to the end users in the Spotfire clients.

    I been working with a programing tool called Octave. The language is almost identical to basic Matlab. The discriminating difference is that Octave is open source and free. Octave offers similar performance efficiencies to Matlab.

    Save marker shape settings as a file

    Color settings for markers such as scatter plots can be saved as a file (ColorScheme.dxpcolor) and can be easily copied to other scatter plots. Similarly, it would be convenient if shape settings for markers could be saved as a file.
