Spotfire should provide a continuously updated progress indicator showing how much data of the total amount of data that has been loaded.
If it's not possible to query the data source for the total amount of data an estimate or even a fake progress indicator is valuable. Today, users don't even know if the application is hanging or if data is still being loaded.
We are loading data using most methods, for example data connectors, information links, data functions and file loading. This applies for both on-demand and regular data loading.
