Lock Visualization area remain between pages

When using the lock visualization option, the locking options disappear when I change pages. I want to be able to switch between multiple pages and ensure text areas are the same size between them. I have to keep going back to "Lock Visualization"...

I would like the ability to change the default value for the number of records shown under ' My Recent Files' and 'Modified Files' in WP homepage. As of now these are defaulted to 10.
