Display the name of the environment that user has logged onto within the visible area of Spotfire Merged

I have 2 totally separate environments, Prod and Dev. Each has its own server, own web player, etc.... I have setup aliases so when the users log in they will use http://spotfire for production and http://spotfiredev for development.

We were audited and because a user got confused to which environment they signed in, they provided information from from the dev environment instead of prod. Is there anyway to clearly show / distinguish what environment you are logged into.

I know you can hold your cursor over the "online" in the bottom left corner and it will display the server but this does not seem to be enough.

The same question for web player. I know we can customize a banner but we have no banner to give us more real estate on the page.
