The exported CSV files by using "Export Data Table" functionality on the web player and the txt export in the desktop tool does not make an actual CSV (Comma separated Values) file, but instead uses spaces or tabs. This makes it difficult to import into other programs that sometimes only supports true csv files.

Hi Virginie,
Are you able to see the options below when you export data tables to files on disk?
Hello
We are in 10.10.2, and i did not found how to export with comma-separated with Analyst. Any help please?
Agreed and I actually consider this a bug: You select the output a CSV and what you get is something else. This has been bothering me for years now.
The export from Webplayer and analyst must provide selectable options Unicode UTF-8 format, UTF-16 format, UTF-32 format, ansi format, separator type (comma, semi-colon, tab, pipe symbol or any own character). Exported file extension (most likely csv and not txt). The settings used once must be saved with the bookmark or at least per document.
This feature would have saved me HOURS of time when exporting large data sets to import into other systems. I had to use other methods to convert the tab delimited file into a csv that took a good 20 - 30 minutes to run each time I had to reload data.
