Setting up two interchangeable CSS files and accessing them via Javascript is fine. The problem i'm having is trying to change the backgrounds to charts, anytime I try to change the background of the chart or axis using CSS, the background colour just colours over the chart information, If i can sort this then I can create a dark and light mode, however currently as i see it, it would only be a partial color toggle to the borders and text areas only or am i missing something?
It would be great to the end user based of there prefrences they can change it.
Yes, there are many use cases to have the theme API expose through API. As a Mod developer I want to change quickly between dark and light modes. Javascript is the only work around that can cause more harm in the future than good.
The ability to control themes through APIs (Ironpython / C#) is required for multiple use cases and scenarios.
Taking this further, it would be nice to be able to set up themes, save them in the library, and then apply them at the click of a button in analyst and web player
