When working with large, or very small numbers, there are generally short number formats that are used to make the unwieldy, manageable.
Spotfire has a basic standard symbol set, for 10^3 (k) and 10^6 (M) but not larger or smaller than that, as different terms would use a different symbol based on the associated units of measure.
ex. 10^9 in ISO use, such as a Frequency would be G as in GigaHertz, but in finance, 10^9 would be a B as in Billion $.
While users can create custom symbol sets, they only apply to that one analysis.
This request is that additional Symbol sets can be created and added and be available across analysis.
I think this is a very good idea especially if you consider that hundreds of users set up their own ideally identical symbol set but one user has a typo all of a sudden in his reports 10^2 is k and not 10^3!
Any plans to finish off the half implemented feature in the client administration where I can get to the point of defining, but not actually entering any configuration
When attempting to add a short formatting symbolset, I receive an error
"Constructor on type 'Spotfire.Dxp.Data.Formatters.ShortFormattingSymbolScheme' not found."
