Spotfire being able to connect to geospatial data via WFS or WFS-T service API connections

Our IT Geospatial solutions team would like to integrate with Spotfire to use it as framework on their development team; however they would like a more dynamic connection between Spotfire and their data source using WFS or WFS-T service API connections.

    We are currently able to load shape files generated from ArcGIS and create feature layers from them.  Unfortunately this can't be done when using a WMS server.

    ArcGIS does have a WFS (Web Feature Service) server available which I believe would supply enough information to build a feature layer.  Implementing the ability to connect to and use a WFS server to provide feature layers would enable us to dynamically link an analysis to the spatial data stored in ArcGIS.
