Do not substitute column labels on axis with the number of columns (when more than 3 columns are on that axis) if one of the columns is a slider.

if more than 3 columns are added to an axis, column labels are no longer visible, you can only see the number of columns. It is fine most of the time but presents a problem when one of the columns is a slider - if the slider is not visible, the user cannot interact with the visualization.
